My name is Mike, a investment analyst currently working at a fundamental long-short hedge fund covering technology sector. I’ve been fortunate enough to invest in AI-related stocks for more than a year now, but one day I had a wake up call: despite my extensive involvement in AI investments, personally I have not been a sophisticated, in-depth AI user.

So here I am trying to do a project with AI, to enhance my understanding of the technology, and maybe create something useful along the way. What can I do?

Well, over the years, I’ve taken many networking calls with students and young professionals about my own career path, which is a rather diversified one involving private wealth, investment banking, private equity, and hedge fund. As a college student, researching on these industries could prove challenging — hours of WSO thread-reading sometimes only gives mis-information, and 99% of the networking calls don’t yield anything truly insightful other than “what do you do day-to-day” type BS. So I want to create a chat bot, that knows all of my stories, to help students with career advice, or at least provide some perspectives.

For that purpose, I need large amount of Q&A samples to train the AI model, and that’s why I’m setting up this poorly-designed blog website (which I absolutely put zero effort in, I confess).

So if you are a student researching and deciding your summer internship or full time job in the industries mentioned above, you’re welcome to ask any question. I’m not an interviewer, nor someone you’re trying to impress to earn a job. So no question is off-limit. Ask me anything. I will try my best to answer your question as soon as commercially possible.
